Everything in life is vibration.

    Albert Einstein

It's challenging to guarantee anything in life, but you will most likely remember the first time you experience sound vibrations. A waive of sound that envelops your whole being while taking you on a journey is both powerful and different every time you experience it.

Sound meditation is a meditation with the use of the overtone-emitting instruments. In my practice I use the Gong, Himalayan singing bowls and chimes.

Himalayan bowls are ones of the oldest instruments used in the Eastern medicine. Dating back as far as the 12th century, singing bowls have been used throughout Asia for meditation, ritual, and ceremonial purposes. The sound produced by these metallic bowls is quite similar to a gong or a bell.

Used in sound meditation practice, singing bowls are believed to calm and repair the mind as well as reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, improve breathing and circulation, alleviate aches and pains, strengthen the immune system, improve the mood, open pineal gland, and balance left and right brain hemispheres. They emit vibrations that are the closest to those found in nature. Being electrical mechanisms, our bodies intuitively tune in to the vibrations, using them as a source to fine tune and recalibrate. Our bodies are a work of art, however over time, when removed from the nature and exposed to environmental stressors and life in general, they lose the ability to heal themselves. That's when vibrations come in. They help our bodies to recover and return to the harmony. The harmonics emitted by the Tibetan bowls have an ability to activate our parasympathetic system giving us clarity of mind and heightened levels of intuition.

“If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes. Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder.”
